We had an awesome 4th! We started the day with the parade. We really appreciated the short 2 block walk to the parade route since we're moving a little farther from downtown. Jake hates parades and hid for most of it. Chloe sat in her stroller and oooo'd and ahhhh'd at everything while Wyatt worked his toosh off getting all the candy he could. He also begged anyone with a water gun to get him. He ended up soaking wet and full of candy, just the way he likes it.

Then while Chloe napped Justin took the boys to a carnival in Palatine. It was the one where we were photographed last year and the picture ended up on the cover of a local paper. The used that same picture again this year on the cover to announce the palatine festival's 50th anniversary. I should scan those covers and put them on here.
Then, we went to the Styers for the most delicious ribs eva! They really get the short end of the culinary stick in this friendship because we can't come close to Eric's skills. Frankly, we don't really have any skills.
Then we went to the high school here in town and watched the fireworks.

Chloe loved them and was not a bit scared. I got some awesome video clips of her while she was watching them. I'll post them tomorrow.
